yeah, there are some issues. we're trying to get approval from the NAP on what we can do, and where... We're FREE labor and will only make the trail system(s) better, not sure why making a decision is proving to be difficult.

Barton is a little worse than described - 3 trees down, blocking the path near the southern-most bridge. 2-4 leaners that could be taken care of at the same time. The mud pit is growing as well.

Olson is still wet, but you can ride around most wet spots.

Trees at Barton are now cleared. I thought about taking the leaners out but it is a tangled mess. I was afraid I'd make things worse. If they come down they'll be light and easy to move.

The trail is in great shape. Other than Barton, I didn't see any mud pits out there (disclaimer: I didn't hit Olson).

There's a tree down in Keubler, on southern path (not moonscape). I'll post a map w/ it highlighted in a bit.

The bridge in Bluffs is currently in a dangerous condition. There's a nail sticking up, there are gaps in the wood large enough for your tire to get stuck, and if you fall in to the water around the bridge you're almost guaranteed to become stuck or flip over. Be careful there. Just for reference:

Other than that, the trail is still in great shape. A few mud spots here and there, nothing that's a show-stopper though.

Btw, the teeter totter hinge in Olson is broken again. The retaining strap on the left side is gone.

The bridge over the creek in KL was rebuilt in its original position. Nice work by whoever did it.

Nice work! Do we know who built the nifty new bridge in KL?

I am currently without a chainsaw. Is anyone who is certified with the AA Park system available to cut out the tree in KL?

The fallen tree in KL has been cut and cleared. Not sure who to thank for that, either.

The only down tree I saw on the local loop yesterday was on the western end of the Cedar Bend single track, right around here: https://goo.gl/maps/SLu0J

Hi, I am looking to get a map for this whole Olson Park/Ann Arbor Loop. Because the only one that I know is Olson Park.
I hope somebody have even his own map that can share with me.
Thank you,

And thank you all the people taking good care of this trails.

No map exists although work has gone into making one and folks are interested in completing it.

A good way to get acquainted with the Local Loop is the Wheels in Motion shop ride. That's a no-drop ride from the Wheels in Motion store through parts of the Local Loop and back.

The ride normally departs Tuesdays at 7:30 PM and is on for today. The ride finishes after dark so you'll need a light. You can subscribe to the WIM ride list here: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/wim-weekly-ride-list

Thank you for the info, it should be a long nice ride.
I will consider it (after I get my light).
