I can't remember a time when maybury was in as good of condition as it was this weekend.

Anyone been out there today after the rain last night? I'm planning on going after work.

Never mind... went riding, anyway. Track was in good shape. Just a couple puddles and not too slick. I was surprised how little mud and water there was.

Stellar conditions tonight at 8:00. Just a few slightly muddy spots that are easily avoidable. Came face to face with a large turkey on the trail. Brakes did their job.

No, it wasn't the Albino turkey. I've been keeping my eyes open for him/her.

I rode it today around 10:00 am and it was in good shape and ready to ride. A few muddy spots in the usual places, and a wet section just after the winter loop, but otherwise it's probably 98% awesome!

After a longer than expected wait, as of today a volunteer service project completed the new emergency access routes to help aid EMS in faster responses times in the event of an incident on the trail. What a great project from a future eagle scout! So now its safe to bring your inexperienced friend out to try mountain biking, were ready!!

Great, that's perfect. I crashed hard yesterday on the trail and thankfully was in good enough shape to ride out. Glad to here there's a plan in case I can't next time. Thank you!
