Heading there today.....I'll post conditions later.

It was "not ridable" this past weekend tho, due to the mashed potato snow.

If it's anything like Merrell and someone decided to go hiking or biking in the mashed potatoes, the trail will be trashed with 6" deep foot prints and tire ruts :x

Can't wait to hear the trail conditions!!!

The trail is not in good shape. Rode some two tracks instead.

Kinda thought that might be the case. Did you try riding the trails with a fatbike?

'Tis the season and the trails are crap unless they have been "groomed" with a snow machine. Even then it might be iffy with old iced over snow.

I went on Tuesday and unfortunately the trail was pretty much unridable.

Yeah, I was on my fat bike.

Thankfully there's a lot of two tracks to go explore. We even ended up riding on a lake for a bit...the ice fishermen got a kick out of that :D

The two tracks you rode, were they in Barry state game area or the Yankee springs side?

According to Intellicast.com, the area still has 18-24 inches of snow cover...

Hiked some of the trail today (4/8/14). Guard rail hill has 4+ inches of ice up it....Ole piney has a foot of snow at the base of it ....going back roughly 40-50 feet. I also drove a few of the emergency access two-tracks....bottom line: Not yet.

I did see a set of bike tracks ....and there was a bike rider pulling in as I left.
