How's the Fort look for a ride tomorrow? This rain pack things down nicely, or is it muddy, wet leaves and slickery corners?

Much rain today? I live on the other side of the state and plan on making the trip to ride Custer tomorrow.

Red Loop is clear following the storms, except Grannies or Amusement Park. The Beginning of Green Is also clear

A few of us living in the Detroit area are planning on riding Custer this coming Sunday. Looking for some insight on conditions, thanks.

Hey, anyone ride lately?

Is there snow or ice on the frozen ground? Is the trail rideable, may consider heading out if positive feedback, knobbie 29 or studded 26, I don't have a fattie.
Hope is not a good strategy.

Headed out this AM 1/12 around 10am in hopes of finding some decently packed and hard conditions for riding on the mukluk.

No dice. Very difficult hour of riding. Crunchy on top and kept dropping down into 4-5 inches of heavy wet snow. Spent almost an hour on the old green (flat) start and barely got to the intersection of the red and green. Turned around and tried to follow my track back.

Not great riding conditions this AM. Good workout - yes, fun - not so much.
