Rode yesterday (Sunday). Trail was in good shape. The "usual" puddles, but even those weren't very bad. Colors still vibrant.

trail was good last night, very few wet spots. lots of leaves but you can still tell where the trail is and they arent too slippery.

Went out around noon today. Trail is in good shape. Leaves are abundant and slick in some turns. Had to turn back as I couldn't make myself ride through the giant clouds of bugs (mosquitos?). Where I couldn't see them, I could feel them hitting my face. Not something I enjoy.

Just got back. Wet in the usual spots, not enough to not go out, although there are at least 9 trees blocking the trail. 4 in the 754 loop alone.

Thanks for the trail report. Will be a few days, but will address the the down trees before the weekend.

If I can get a fresh chain on my saw, I'll head out there ASAP!

Was out around 1 today. The city has closed the gate to the back parking lot. Took my usual warm-up ride on the main trail out to the 12 1/2 mile juncture and saw a rider going through on the trail. As I had noticed that there was only one other vehicle in the main lot and there were no cars on 12 1/2 mile, I decided to run some of the trail in the reverse direction. I would not normally do this but with almost all of the leaves down, you can see if someone is coming from quite a ways away. It was great. Made it through Loki's when I was startled by four deer standing 30 feet away from me just checking me out. I watched them for awhile and saw their ears perk up as they had heard a rider on the trail in the distance. Rode the rest of the way in the right direction. Watch out for roots covered with leaves. Two almost put me down. Wet in the usual spots.

Rode early afternoon. 39 degrees when I arrived but eventually climbed to a sweltering 41. Leaves galore on trail in expert loop. Slippery in spots.Trees down across trail at 1.5 mile, 2.5 mile and 3 mile. ( estimates)
As I was climbing hill up to the crater my chain snapped. UHG! Very disappointing and had to Hike a Bike back to parking lot. Nice day for a walk in the woods though.
