Potawatomi Volunteer Trail crew needed

Postby G.Cook » September 19th, 2013, 1:24 pm

Poto trail work day this Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00. The trail care crew team started a fantastic re-route on Gosling last Saturday. We need your help to finish it up. Meet on Doyle Road where the trail crosses over the second time. Here's a link to the exact location: http://goo.gl/maps/h7KbE Be sure to bring long pants, sleeves, work gloves, boots and water. Please post back here if you are coming so we can plan appropriately.

and another Bump.
I will be helping out at the DWD Bell's tent tomorrow and I have a fishing day with my son on Sunday (his first in a real Bass Boat trip), but if there is some work leftover I can come out on Tuesday to continue this re-route that I am sure most will really appreciate and enjoy.

Thank you to everyone coming out to help!

Thanks Chuck. The work will be done by Sun. but we do have a plans for some armoring down the road just to give a littel somethi'n/somethi'n.
I rode the new section late Fri. PM with the Fat Bike and while it still needs some tweeking in a couple of spots for a little more flow . It is going to be a favorite section on the Poto. Entry and exit flows well into the old trail tread. We think it's the longest reroute that has been done on the Poto in recent history.
It also rides really well in the opposite direction. :)

Planning to be there @ 10 for at least a couple hours. Do you have tools? I have a garden rake and loppers, that's about it. Thanks
Matt
