At the end of the RB Boardwalk build day I was told that both options would be left open. This may be the work of a rouge individual or the DNR may have changed their mind. We'll try to get an answer on this asap. Thanks for the heads up.

No worries Bill. Thanks!

I got official word this morning: The DNR does not intend to close off the old Root Bridge line. An individual must have done it.

Ye Olde Root Bridge is clear .
If Mr.Trailbuilder does this again I think we should have a chainsaw party............uh.....on all the deadfall he likes to use for blockage....really .

Trail is great shape!

One tree down, blocking trail after signpost 11, after Patterson road crossing, before Doyle road crossing. (I think)
Riders have been riding around it. Needs a chainsaw to remove.

I know there is a marathon and half marathon Saturday and Sunday.
Does anybody know what time it starts/finishes?
Thanks.

The trail is in great condition and is starting to get sandy.

Someone has put logs at both ends of the root bridge single track again.

I went through at 7pm. I paused and planted my 29er staff firmly at the approach to the blocked trail and the logs parted. The way is clear again

There was also a 4x4 placed right where people ride on a fast sandy downhill just after the low phone line off gosling. I cleared that as well after I almost fell.
