I will definitely get out there one day this week, not sure which one yet, but I'll post it up if anyone wants to meet.
Mike, you must get in touch with the jedi force and go straight down the middle on those ramps for best results !
Sorry about your derailleur dude. Make an upgrade to XT Shadow ! :D

sram all the way. I'll hang with you, let me know. I'm re-building my Ibis Alibi for the Iceman, I haven't ridden a hard tail in a loooonnnggg time so I'll try it at M/T when I finish building the wheels.

That's what I just broke. Going with something more affordable/breakable.

If Mike's shifters are Shimano, he would have to change shifters as well. Shimano shifters won't work properly with Sram x-7 rear derailleur.
Shimano shifters have a 2:1 actuation ratio and Sram x-7 rear derailleur requires an actuation ratio of 1:1. So, with SRAM x-series components, when you shift a gear, it will pull 1mm of cable and the derailleur will move 1mm. With Shimano, when you shift a gear, the cable is pulled 2mm and the derailleur will only move 1mm.
Mixing the components would be bad.

Friday will work for me. I should be running by then. If not, I'll bring my full suspension coaster bike. ;/

btw I've broken sram just as easily as shimano. Like them both fine but sticking with the ones that match my shifters. Next bike is going to be a completely rigid ss 29er. Fun fast and simple.

Everything is still a go? My bike is ready to roll, my wounds mostly healed, and payday is almost here. Only one question: Schlitz or Oberon?

Did a couple laps (really like the new section) and got 10 miles in before getting a flat on the rear . Lots of cars.

Dave, sorry I was late and missed you, didn't get there until 5:30. Working late and Friday night traffic sucks the life out of a well intentioned mtb rider. I heard that you had a disagreement with Mike and took off on your own, but I'm glad that you had a good ride ! Had 5 people show up to share in the fun ~ thanks to Tommy, John G. (Voodoo), Rich, Mike and James come out for a great ride. We hit all the loops and then rode Crooked and East backwards to finish up before diving into the well deserved cold brews and good conversation. As promised, Mike was sporting the Schlitz.

James, you get the good deed of the day award for working on Rich's messed up shifting. I will definitely do this again for anyone that couldn't make it tonight and I hope to get more female riders out there next time, okay ?
You know who you are and you were missed. (Jill, Sherri, Sally, Linda, Claudia and anyone else that wants to partake).

Happy Trails !

Unfortunately, I done for the season. Torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus. A NON bike related freak accident. Surgery in a month, then weeks of PT. Was told I could be back in the saddle in 6 months. I'm totally bummed.
