I'll be in Saginaw for an upcoming weekend and should have time to ride a trail on Sat morning. From a quick look at the Trail Guide it'll probably be either Pine Haven or Midland City Forest. If I can do only 1 Saginaw area trail which should I choose?

I'd say City Forest as well. I haven't been out to Pinehaven in years, but I know City Forest is well maintained.

Rode this morning and had a good time. The first few miles were windy forest trails, but the 2nd half started to get a bit challenging (Gnu loop and beyond). Several fun jumps and I had to ride the cambered wood bridge several times to see how fast I could rail it.

No trail obstructions at all. Everything in good shape. Fun trail!

Rode the trails today. The wooden bridge/berm on the Gnu Loop has a broken section that needs to be repaired. Myself & another rider put some logs/branches on both sides to hopefully warn anyone off from trying to ride it. Also there is a tree down between the wooden berm & the intersection of the Gnu & South Loops. It was too big to take care of with a hand saw. You can ride under it however.

My photographer/girlfriend lost a pair of prescription sunglasses somewhere on near a trail intersection during the Tailwind Race. If anyone finds them please PM me.
Thanks!

Anyone ridden the City Forest lately? Is it rideable on a fat bike?

I moved here to Midland in November and can't wait to ride these trails! Got some miles in on the rail trail today to knock off the cobwebs. Does anyone have a recommendation for a bike store in Midland? I'm looking to get some new bars for the season.

Rays in Midland or Bay City are great shops as well. I just had two sets of wheels built by the Midland store. They did a great job and the price was excellent.

My wife and I went out and walked 8 miles of it today.

North loop ----> start of south loop ---> frog holler loop ---> back on south loop to Gnu loop ---> and half of Gnu loop ---> back to parking lot

I clear some face slappers and some sticks/branches. 95% of it is dry and very ride-able. Two bikes passed us while we were out there and they weren't muddy at all. If you can hack the temperature, go ride!

Rode just the North Loop tonight but it was in great shape. No mud or downed branches.
