I did 3 laps this morning (tree down at 3.4 miles in easier to get to walking to it from the sidewalk backwards down the hill). I didn't bring my chainsaw, I had my weedwacker so I couldn't clear it. but I did do 1 1/2 hours of weed trimming..from the trail head to the baseball field. There are wild raspberries back there.

Has anyone been out on the trail today? Is it rideable?

I rode it Sunday and it was squishy but fine. Must be better today don't you think?

I ended up doing a couple loops last night. You definitely have to take care, as there are still some squishy areas, plus a lot of sand at the bottom of some hills. There's also a tree down at mile 3(~0.25 before the two long hills at the walkway). You can ride over it without dismounting, but its not very stable.

Yep,tree down 3.4 miles in ok if you stay to the right around the right hand corner. Very slick still in some corners. loose boards on first ramp. Lots of sand.

Trail is wet - rain yesterday, last night & again tonight. There seems to a cumulative effect of cooler than normal temps and consistent rain at least every 3 days over many weeks...tonight's rain was less than 1/8 inch and the tread just can't manage to sponge it up "quickly".... Ditto for Proud Lake. Area dirt roads were also sloppy and wet - diverted to paved paths & side streets & logged some miles..

Aside from the brake bumps from people who should probably just stick with Wii Fit, the trail is in fantastic shape today. I did a couple laps on foot and on my rig. Don't slow down though, the HR reps. are out in full force.

I didn't see and braking bumps, but I did see a lot of locking up of rear tire marks. Did you ever have one of those days when everything went right for a change? I went out this morning looking to do 2 laps and then trim weeds for awhile. 1st lap, I had a lot of noise from the rear wheel. sounded like when your magnet hits the sensor on the front wheel. finished the loop and got to my car and found the cassette loose. I tightened it and did another loop and for some reason everything felt great so I kept going. I got in 4 laps all under 42 minutes each. the best 37. No knee pain. very cool. now to lose 20 lbs after being hurt for a year. The trail was perfect.

The bumps are nearly washed out now, but they're there. It is difficult to try to imagine the complete lack of rider competence and confidence it takes to lock the brakes up on the baby hills at the Hick. On another note, there's one tree down near the end of the first four miles and it looks someone on an ATV ran over the sign near the ball field. It was clearly on purpose, because there's no way to not see it or veer around it, and the sign is bent into the path of the mountain bike trail.

Other than that, the trail is in great shape.
