I think from our rides last year it was near 6 miles around, or there abouts. We had it down to 36 minute laps too.

What happened to the map that used to be with the trail info?
Since switching servers, I noticed there is no longer a trail guide map for this park (and many other trials).

May hit this up later today for a ride.

Good call Spinwheel, I rode earlier today and it was in great shape!

Enjoy while you can, rain tonight and tomorrow is going to make things messy for a few days!

ibisman

you ride laps in the morning there? Where do you live at. I was doing this last summer starting from my house on lower straights. Maybe we can motivate each other.

Well, I live in Livonia but my friend Kevin lives in Novi, I work nights so I have all day to ride and he's a real estate broker so.... we have the time. Let me know when you are there. I've got to warn you... we are in our 50's, but I do ride between 2500 and 3500 trail miles a year.See ya! Dave

I'm in my early 50"s also, live in WB Twp and really enjoy riding the Hick.
Rode there this winter and it was awesome.
Can't ride in the mornings most days but once in a while can sneak a ride in at dusk.
Always available later in the afternoon.
I will try an be there around 4:00 on Thursday.

I managed to get some work done out there last night...the Hill after the pallet crossing the river should be rideable now. I touched up the Vee'd out downhill to remove some of the V and also cut back some face slappers so the right left set of turns right after it should flow better. Also tried a minor benching right after that area.....where you switchback in the low area.....Hope people like it...

Trail is pretty dry after the rains.
For the most part, everything was firm.
The frogs were out in full force..... I can't believe how loud they are!

Hi everyone, I'm new to the MMBA forum. I live two blocks from the Hickory trail in Wolverine Lake, and I try to ride it several times a week, so I will likely bump into some of you there. My name is Jordan and I ride a dark grey Motobecane. My fiancee will be arriving (from Eastern Europe) in a couple weeks and I'm going to teach her how to ride a bicycle (12 yr old Huffy -- actually not a bad bike IMO), and hopefully she'll enjoy the trail once she gets the basics down. I'm guessing that we'll be walking the trail often too, since she's so accustomed to walking everywhere in their culture. We'll help to keep debris off the trail. Thanks to MMBA and all the volunteers who have committed their time and resources to this trail -- it's truly a blessing, and a great addition to the township park recreation "portfolio". See you on the trail!!
