Tom's been kicking some butt out there and almost all the dead fall is out of the way. The snow pack is is off most of the trail but he's reporting that most of the north facing slopes still have 6" to 12" of snow. Sounds like fun on a fatty!

I was wondering if anyone had a update on Hanson hills. I was thinking of going down this weekend but was unsure if it was ready to ride.

Thanks
Jason

Good to go! You'll hit some small stuff along the way but the majority has been cleaned up and is ready to ride.

Road yesterday morning. It was my first time on the trail, and I really enjoyed it. Thanks to all who maintain it!

Conditions were perfect on the main loop.

Rode both the Inner(Main) & the Outer Loops today. Conditions were very good, except for a couple of trees down on the Outer Loop, one near the mid way point, the other closer to the end.

Has anyone rode these trails lately? Were heading up to Grayling this weekend and plan on hitting them.

With the rain the last 24 hours conditions should be perfect at Hanson this weekend.

How's the trails doing this year? I might be up there this Thursday or Friday and was wondering what current conditions might be?
Also whats a decent close to Hanson hills campground for a tent, just one night?

Trail is in great shape a little sandy in spots, we have not had the rain that we have down here.
Lots of places to camp in the area. State forest campground 7-8 miles W on M-72 right on the
Manistee River, nice to cool off in after your ride and maybe do some trout fishing too.

Thanks! Sounds like it might be able to take some light showers (foretasted) and still be able to ride the trail.

How will Hanson be tomorrow? Has it gotten as much rain as the Traverse area has?
