Preview-Upper Macatawa Cycling Trails

Postby RickPlite » November 8th, 2012, 10:00 pm

I rode the first completed loop at Upper Mac today and while it is only .67 miles long it is amazing! Dan Nagelkirk and crew have done a fantastic job so far cutting all .67 miles of benched trail by hand. When it is complete there will be 4-5 miles of similar bench cut ravine trails in all. I clocked the time it took to drive from the trailhead to the Grandville exit at under 15 minutes! Are you reading this? If you live in Holland, Zeeland, Grandville, Jenison, Byron Center or Wyoming PLEASE give these guys a hand building this awesome trail opportunity.

We'll be out there for a few hours this Saturday. We can't stay the whole day because of prior obligations, but I'm looking forward to getting out there and pitching in. The trail is looking good!
