I rode out there today, the holes left looked like a horse was walking down the trail, the holes are far worst then the rocks.
Thankz

There wasn't any horse tracks, someone dug them out. We had 4 volunteers beside myself for trail day. The North loop was trimmed and cleaned.

good work on the north trail. really does any one ride that trail, grass is growing directly in the trail. Lakeside or lakeshore trail is really grown in. I did not know about the trail day or I would have came out and help out.

I was hoping to get out for the trail work day but had to work until 3pm today :( However, I did get out to ride the West & North loops. At first I thought the trim crew had removed some rocks and was confused why they would have been removed. I was even more confused why the divits/holes had been left behind messing up the trail more than the rocks were. Then I saw the postings before this and now understand that they were removed without consent from anyone  :x WTF? Was the East loop raped also? Hopefully the moron will be found and given 50 lashes with a brake cable housing.

If U would of read the posts U'd of known when the trail day was, as for the North it is a beginner trail and they need a clean safe experience and when its dry it is rode as much as any of the trails. With only five people total showing up to work that is all we could do.

I ride the entire North Loop everytime I'm at Holdridge as a "cool down" lap after riding the West loop. And sometimes I'll ride the North until the East cut off, take the East cut off to the road, then jump back onto the end portion of the East loop back to the parking area as a "warm up" before entering the West Loop. Also I always see people (usually families, small kids, and newbies) using the North Loop. So, yes people DO really ride it.

I've been seeing a guy/kid riding a motorcycle out there with a very active middle finger when told he was not be on the trails. His motocycle is red and he wears a yellow helmet with a black strip. He may be responsible for the alterations. His excuse for riding out there is there are no signs saying no motor bikes. Anyway I've chased him off twice and had reports by other people of his presence on all three trails. I tried to ow him to his house but couldn't keep up with him.

If this motorcycle is seen again, simply get the plate number. Either report the number to the DNR as posted by the trail coordinator above or PM to me. In-fact do both. You might put the DNR numbering your cell and call immediately when you see the MC. What time of day is the MC seen?

Called the dnr a couple of weeks ago on him. Best bet would be to follow his tracks home.
Doubt he removed the rocks. Someone suggested to me it could have been a trail runner, not pointing fingers, that is just what I was told.
If a special day is needed to help, let us know. I was at lumber jack this weekend and couldn't make the trail day.

When I see him again i'll call the DNR, Rode the west yesterday at around 5:00, a lot of rocks removed and seems to be continuing as at the 2.25 mile area there was one that seemed very freshly dug up and pushed to the edge of the trail with hiking boot prints around it. I rode after the rain but the loose dirt was not rain soaked. didnt see anyone out there but 2 teens and their father on old k-mart bikes with no helmets, (gave them the head injury talk and sugested the north loop).
