The Hick is in great shape. A little dry even with the rain. Warning, though it is LOADED with poison ivy this year. The only place there isn't poison ivy is the deep woods. It is right on the edge of the trail especially the 1st section. And all other areas with "filtered" sunlight. Maybe it's just me but it seems really heavy this year. Other than that, beautiful.

Got out tonight and did a couple more hours of work east of the football field. Sorry for the trail carnage but I was trying to maximize the work for the time I was out there....you shouldn't be able to miss the work I did....enjoy....

Couple of laps tonight. The wind from the weekend did quite a lot of damage. Cleared 3 smaller dead fall. Several others that will require some help or a saw. All in the first section, one is near the red house. Well CRS just kicked in and can't remember where the others are. I will be back on Wednesday to try to clear some more. Lots of small debris everywhere.

I got out last night and got the few bad head hunters out there....there may still be a lower limb or two but they should be easily manageable....let me know if anyone sees anything else that needs attention....trail was in great midsummer shape last night....

Trail was in great shape tonight. Going to do a trimming lap tomorrow sometime. almost got t-boned by a 50something guy on the quad. Really p-----! Going to follow the tracks tomorrow into the neighborhood and see if I can find the guy. If I do I am going to try to file a police report.

1st lap was with loppers. 2nd lap was to check my work. Not perfect but very ride-able. Focused on the thorny plants and neck snappers. Also cleared the larger derailleur/spoke wreckers. Trail is in really great shape.

Big thanks to OPJames for giving me a tour out there yesterday. Great trail! A little bit dusty and loose in some spots, but she just needs some rain.

Tree down. Did not get the mileage but it is maybe a 1/2-1/4 mile before the red house. Not too far after the you cross the 2 track. I was able to break off all of the branches enough for a bike to pass but if you come through at speed and are off to the left you will loose some skin. But passable. I ran right into it at speed. Will not be out there tomorrow night but Wednesday I will take tools to remove it. Hand saw if someone beats me to it. Trail is indeed very dry. No rain yesterday. None in the forecast. Followed my buddy for a while and it was like following a car down a dirt road.
