You can see the table top "like" jump in the picture with the S-berm. It is not a true table top because it doesn't have a true back side landing...more of a semi-step up jump. Anyway, it is the right hand option in the S-berm picture (which is not taken very well to to see the jump). It is pretty obvious in person.

btw, what is that bike ^^?

Brad already covered the bit about the jump - it sort of blends in in all of my photos and that's the best one. Probably will go back and shoot it from a low angle next time I make it out there.

That's my 05 Gary Fisher Piranha. Not much stock left - I converted it to 1x9, and just recently, rigid.

Man these look really good Brad. I had my skirt on today so I didn't attempt either of them. I'll probably give the smaller of the two a go at some point when not alone but might just have leave that second one to the FS guys and better skilled riders.

Can't wait to hi these tomorrow. Should I leave my skirt at home? The drop looks nice.
It's not your strength or skill. It's your level of commitment.

It almost looks like the berm section has a kicker or hip jump. Those can be alot of fun.

I rode both on my HT Tuesday, alone. They are great, as is the step-up jump. The berms (and step up) are currently positioned after a hard left, limiting speed. My feeling was that a slightly longer 'roll-in' or more gentle turn above the features would make it a bit better.

Sure, the second drop-off may look a bit daunting (it's probably high enough for DJers to do some cool tricks), but just roll off the edge with medium speed and you should be fine, even on a HT. As the landing is pretty flat it is important that you cushion the landing with your legs.

Your'e right. A smoother entry would be nice, but there are too many trees in the way. We looked at several options, but that was the best we could come up with. I think as the trail breaks in it will become faster and easier to hit the jumps and berms. The berms need some modification...the second one needs to be further away from the first. There should be enough room to do this I just need to find the time to get back out there. If someone that knows what they are doing and want to tackle this, they can go right ahead and do it.

As for a hip jump...it is not now, but now that I think of it one section could be "hipped" into the berm with a standard step-up as is. There is some nice clay there to work with, so with a bit of time it could become very nice. Keep in mind, Ben and I created that section at the end of a 9 hour day out there so there is some more work that needs to be done.

Did a few laps at Anderson today. Trail is mostly dry, with a few slippery wet spots, only had to walk in two spots each lap. The features look great and are dry.

Hit the drops last weekend. My 9 year old hit them both first. Very easy. The second one lands easier than the first. It would be nice to have a bigger one with a down hill landing someday! Much fun out there. Thanks for all your efforts!!!!

Hey,

I've been riding Anderson since I was a Freshman at MSU and I love the trail, especially the new drops that were added in May.

I would love to help out building new features and lines for the playground area. Being a college student all I have are terrible ideas and too much time to try them out. I've been helping at the Cannonsburg Skill Park a little this summer so I have some idea what I'm doing. I was wondering if we could put in a tabletop or some gap jumps in a new line down the hill from the berm after the drops. I'm sure the TC has some great ideas for new stuff too. Just wanted you to know I'm willing to help.

Thanks for the offer to help. I had the same thoughts but I just haven't figured out where they would go (a new line would be created after the berm) and where we would get the dirt. I would like to avoid digging pits as much as possible. Any jumps would be table tops. I know they are a waste of good dirt, but I don't see gap jumps matching the our current user group.

I heard that Thailand is a good place to get trannies.
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
