Thanks to Jeff and the others, today I noticed lots of mowing done well - wide where it should be wide, narrower where it should be narrower. I didn't ride many trails, I was just doing some watering of the grass I planted in the fall zones of the Hellboy stunts. Some of it is starting to take hold and others are just starting to sprout, so I'm trying to get it wet every few days. I don't have the schedule (or stamina) to do it every time it should be done - but I do what I can and hopefully it will survive. If anybody wants to help, there's a watering "can" (plastic) hidden under the log at the back side of the brush pile five feet from the left side of the curve of Twisted. It's about the same distance to ride to Peppermint Creek bridge or to the river using the cutoff, to fill it up with water. There's poison ivy by the river, but it's shade all the way. I should have discovered the closeness of the river sooner, I think I sunburned my poison-ivied arms riding to Peppermint Creek and back
If anybody wants to help with the watering, please just go ahead and do it. I think that I get so little water on there, it takes so many trips (about 17 today) that I don't get as much water on there as I would like. If two (or ten!) of us did it on the same day, it would be even better. No need to make sure nobody else is doing it on the same day. If you only have time to make a few trips, please concentrate on the area between Twisted and The Highway, the new seed in there is starting to sprout and it's in the sun more than the other areas, so it needs the most help. Weeding can be done as well, in any of the areas, but I'm not leaving my trowel out there. There is a bit of poison ivy growing, watch out for it.

Ah, didn't see you - unless you were the guy in the black pickup (suv?) that made eye contact as he was leaving that I didn't recognize through the window. I did meet xcrdr (Don) for the first time, though, so that was good. Used his idea of washing up (removing poison ivy oils) after the ride, but at the pump instead of the river.

I couldn't pass them up on my way out - discovered that they must be slightly downhill, I coasted slowly across one entirely and the other until quite near the end of it. Both with a low-to-medium speed entry, it was a nice change-up to riding them normally, and a way to practice low-speed control. I was holding a big trowel in one hand and didn't want to try to ride them fast.
The place is looking really good!
