poorly maintained
poorly designed
long tallgrass
limited sight distance
blind corners

mosquitoes
nats
deer flies
ticks
coyote scat
poison ivy

I'm beginning to like this trail, it's perfect, it makes me feel like I'm really mountain biking, not just road riding in the woods.

Sounds like the ideal mtb trail!

Can't wait until Murry Lk. turns into the same kind of "ideal" trail. Should be fun.

Sounds like you're a little soft. Man up. If you want to ride a curvy, rail trail you know where ILRA is. :D

Rode all loops today, lost loop was in perfect shape, TS is pretty loose, my only issue was taking a few bad lines and getting stuck on a root. Murray's in good shape, few sandy spots in the usual open areas. Marines were there doing a training exercise near the parking lot. Neat seeing the forest move with gun barrels sticking out (some using leafy camo coverings).

Finally navigated the "found" loop during the Tour de Cure today. Kudos to the trail blazers on this section...what a great trail!

Trail conditions were great this morning. Rain firmed up the usually loose sand nicely.

Grass and low bushes are starting to encroach on the trail in some of the less wooded areas. Would be a good idea to wear bug dope and check yourself for ticks after riding, I pulled a few off my legs when I was done today.

One tree down across trail at the very end of Torn just before the cross over Biship Lake road to Murray loop. Good sized tree that will need a saw to clear.

I sure hope Murray never gets ruined into something like Torn Shirt. That's why we have both trails - different styles for different people. Though if it did turn into Torn, I'd save a lot of gas money.

What event was going on at Brighton today? My wife and I walked the hiking trails and noticed may riders at the trailhead, but then also as we left the park, we saw riders coming out of the woods on several newly formed trails crossing Bauer road??? Noticed many were carrying maps in hand. Was it some kind of adventure race?

It was a short InfiterraSports Race, http://www.infiterrasports.com/events/2 ... -bearings/
My friend and I stopped to talk to the people at the manned checkpoint for a bit today. We have done many Infiterra Races in the past, always a good time.

Trail was fun today, rode Torn Shirt, then met up with a few friends to take on their first trail ride. We chose Murray Lake for that, not sure they would have appreciated TS too much for their first ride!

Rode the new loop at Murray for the first time yesterday. I liked it a lot! It was like being on a new adventure since the trail is not worn in a whole lot and it was a new area for me. This makes Murray even better. It's a long drive for me, but this makes it even more worth the trip. Nice work, and thanks very much to all who were involved! Your work is appreciated.
