I had very similar results using Sports Tracker on iphone....10.4 miles for Murray, Lost, and More Lost. Since all of the gps phone apps tend to cut off a little mileage, my guess is it's actually a little more than that.

Rode all of Brighton last night. The trail is dry and really fast. I think I might have rode the new Lost Lost loop backwards, though. When I hit that loop am I suppose to turn onto the new trail to start or the exisiting trail and come out on the fresh cut portion?

Instead of turning left onto the original lost loop section, continue straight onto the new Found portion. Then, stay left at next possible fork and you should be good to go...

I believe you should enter the lost loop as before, and about a mile into the lost loop, go straight instead of a hard left, and veer right onto new single track that goes out near Bauer road ... About 1.5 miles later, magically, you end up on other new single track to the north and west (I think). This transition isn't clear to me. I think I've ridden it three time, and taken a slightly different wrong way each time. I believe that if you miss the first right, the trail leads to a second right which I refer to as the 'other new single track' above.

I really appreciate the work others have done on this extension, iris an awesome extension, but with the encroaching vegetation that has come up this week, i think this section needs to get marked better so that it gets ridden more, to beat in the path.

I'd be happy to go out and mark it; I think the soonest I can do it is Thursday, but I would need help on the 'transition' between the two new parts. Busdriver, any other trail coordinators, Please PM me if I can be of assistance in this regard.

sorry... I need to clarify my instructions listed above... I was assuming that countryboy_mike knows the first starting section of the original lost loop section and took it, and was inquiring whether to still dive into the sharp left-hand section of the original loop where newer section continues...
all very confusing to describe unfortunately. I'm sure improved signage will be forthcoming...

I am very familiar with original lost loop. I know to go straight to reach new new section. Where Im confused is whether to go straight onto the newly cut trail or turn left onto the existing trail that goes up the hill an connects to the new cut trail down the hill a bit.

Go straight. The new "found" loop will rejoin the lost loop.

After you first get on the new section take the next left. You'll see four flags directing you left, then four flags directing you right. After that there are trail ribbons about every ten seconds. If you come to tread crossing at 90* that's not your turn.

ok ... just did a quick lap. The flags directing you on the first right, just after the turn off are pretty obvious to me. The next flags, a mile or so later, are arranged in a way that make me want to merge with the "traffic" that may be coming from the direction you are supposed to turn into :D Got it now!

This is NOT an approved MMBA/DNR section. Follow the natural curve around the corner, do not veer right. This is a bandit cut route that will be closed off permanently very soon.

No, just that right turn that heads out to Bauer road north bound.
