Rode the Vasa singletrack (marked and a bunch of unmarked) today and it is in fine condition. Get out and ride before the snow. 8)
go ride.

Rode the VASA marked singletrack today along with a portion of the VASA 25 ski trail (including the jackpine extension). Was clear other than the leaves, but a little muddy/icy in some of the corners. All in all a in GREAT shape for the middle of December! 8) Get out and ride it this week, it's supposed to be warm. I'll be out riding the unmarked and more of the ski trail from the Bunker Hill trail head tomorrow morning around 8.

Get out and ride.
go ride.

Does anyone know what the Boyne Mountain MTB trails are like at this point in time? My family is going to the waterpark there this Sunday for a few days and was wondering if it'll be worth bringing a bike along.

Has anyone ridden this lately? How is the trail?

Edit: By "this", I meant the VASA trail.

Looks like VASA has it's own conditions thread:

I did notice that the link from the trail guide leads to this topic.

Thanks! I figured "Other Trails" was a bit of a catch-all. I'll email the webmaster to let them know.

Rode the trails in Gladwin on Monday. They are in good shape for the most part. A few sticks down here & there. It was my first time riding this trail. Worth the trip from Bay City & I will definitely get back up there again. The description on the MMBA Trail Guide pretty much sums it up. If no one is there, ride the loop both ways as a way to mix it up.

Any update on the condition of the trails at Boyne Mountain? Staying there for the upcoming weekend and hoping to spend some time on the trails. Not much info on here though about current conditions.

Rode Ogemaw Hills Pathway in West Branch this past week. Very nice trail system. Could tell it has very little use. A few branches here and there and some really narrow single track. Also had to listen for ATVs. Park by Sage Lake Road for most difficult trails.

I rode Wildwood Hills on Monday, September 30. I'd ridden there before and had fond memories of the ride, but I was disappointed this time around by the damage done to the trail by our horse riding friends. I looked at each trail intersection I came by to see if horse riders are allowed, but could find no evidence that they are either allowed or not allowed. Nevertheless, the trail was rideable but far bumpier than I recalled from the previous ride due to the tearing up of the trail from the many horse hooves. I'd still go back there if I am in the area, but I think the experience was diminished for me because of the bumpiness and unevenness of the riding surface. The few downhill sections that I rode nearly shook my teeth out!

Gladwin Rec Center has about 6-7 miles of trail groomed for fat tire bikes. It's tight, twisting & challenging. Almost like fat tire bike singletrack. But the trail is in great shape. Rode it today & it's being used pretty much daily. Like most places, stay away from the ski trails, except at the crossings.
