I tested it out, ended up running one lap, it wasn't that soft, I kept checking behind me to see if I was digging in, alla "pizza cutter" and I wasn't other than a couple small spots. But it was slick as *beep*. I popped out and just put some miles on the clinton river, man is that BORING...

So I'm assuming Bloomer would be too wet to ride today?

my kid brother and I ran it today..namely because of the directional stakes being put in (prior to now I avoided it like the plague). So even though I live less then a mile from there it was a brand new experience. That said. The trail was in ok condition. soft in the gullies. and a wee bit sloppy in the bottom of most of the turns. But its bloomer park and with the clinton right there, thats about what I would expect from there. We ran into a couple of guys building a bridge out by the new section that just got cut ( by the way, thanks guys).(due to a noxious odor call at the Library we didnt get to run that section.)

That said. We ran into a few spots were signage pointed two different directions. Cool, but without a good sense of how the trail flows it kinda makes the rider guess. So my question is....where the trail has the option markers does that mean a bypass or another route? and do they end up in the same place? the trail map at the P.lot did not seem to indicate these "options"

Otherwise was a fun ride. I am so glad its a directional course now..very cool..thanks for all the hard work folks..

The trail has completely changed from last year, they are waiting to complete everything before the redo the maps. I rode a couple laps last night, it was a bit wet, but not terrible. The new section with the bridge mentioned above was already getting some traffic, so that's good. I actually figured out a loop from the river trail to run the newest section, and the new stuff put in last winter, and then you can cut back to the river before the first big climb. Going to use it train/teach the girlfriend.

Hi everyone......THanks for the feed back on the signs and trail conditions and anything else you feel is important to talk about..Keep it coming.......It's been a long two years and many thousands of volunteer hours from some amazing people.....With that said ,I'm happy to say the loop is now complete(for now LOL)....Derek..Scott and Chris worked hard to get is done last night....Please go ride it and give us your feedback..Good or bad..... ... I know the signs need some work.....It was a quick in dirty install to help people find there way around while we continued to finish the loop....Now that the loop is finished, we can focus on fine tuning the signs and finish the map......and maybe ride even ride the trail we built....Thanks again for all the positive feedback and we hope you enjoy it

Thanks for the hard work. I'm looking forward to trying it tonight or tomorrow.
Have you guys had any trail days this spring? I've looked on the CRAMBA site and in the "Volunteers Wanted" forum and haven't seen any. I live less than 2 miles from the trail and would be happy to help with trail maintenance, mapping, signage, etc.

There is a Bloomer Park Trail Facebook page where Derek and Dustin have posted a bit trail days/work.

Dustin and Derek and the crew, (they have some regulars) have done quite a bit this year. My gf and myself helped last weekend for a few hours, I'm not sure how much more they plan on cutting this year, but I'm sure they can answer that.

Here is the facebook page.

Good morning everyone..... It's brings great pains for me to say these words..... ... The Bloomer builders have decided to step down as trail coordinators .....At this current time our hearts aren't into it...... Recent recent medical exams has brought tragic and possibly life threatening news to our group........ the disease has spread extensively, but was caught in it's early stages ..........Thank GOD........The Doctor's have assured us that obesity is curable with extensive treatment and exercise..... So until we are 100% cured and our bike clothes fit again, we will put our tools away......Clean off the cob webs and dust from our bikes.... and ride.......If you see us piled up on the trail covered in dirt.....It''s not because we were riding to fast....Rather...... we probly forgot how to unclipped ....Hope to see you all soon at a trail near you..

Tree down on the switchback near the pump station and a headhunter over by the river. Other than that the trail was in great shape. Then it rained. It got scary slick so I headed home.
