^You're welcome! I think the re-route worked great when I rode it today and it will wear in nicely.

Agreed! Put in a couple laps today and the re-route is great. Only drawback is it takes away a bit of "home trail advantage" for races. Had to know what line to come into that climb on or else it made for a sketchy trek upward. The re-route adds a bit of technicality though, so it's a wash in my book.

Otherwise, today's wind had minimal impact. I rode between 3pm & 5pm and pulled one fallen tree off the trail and that was the only impediment besides some small sticks and branches of little consequence. Trail was dry, fast, and in great shape all-around!

Will the trail be OK to ride this evening with all the rain we had yesterday?

Rode last night. Trail conditions were perfect. A few puddles to lift your front over, but no big deal.

+1
The only spot that was a mistake to try and ride was the climb after the tight switchback downhill. I didn't know that the hill was 90% clay over there... it was so slick we could barely walk up it. The rest of the trail was damp but perfect for traction with its nice mixture of sandy and rocky soil.
I'm just here to ride...

I thought the same thing...

But anyways, AWESOME job out there on the trail for whoever put in time on the trail day. It was in the best shape tonight that I have ever seen it in. It was also nice to ride without a base layer! Just be sure to bring the OFF and/or keep moving! The little blood suckers are back in full force!

i'm stuck in a windowless office .... anyone know if Pontiac dried out enough to ride this evening, or did it rain some more over there during the day?

There were some drops this morning in the area. It may not be too bad now - the afternoon has had some sun, just try to tread lightly if it looks wet.

Rode today, about 2 it was still wet in many spots, and muddy in many spots. Forgot how much of a challenge PLRA is. Took me forever to get out of there today

Almost an inch of rain thursday night. Depending on the sun / wind, I would guess the trail will still be wet in many spots on saturday. I'm hoping to get out on sunday.

The trail wasn't awful this evening, but I cut it short after 1 lap. It was a little messier than I care for with some greasy spots and a few puddles in the usual places, but it will be fine by tomorrow.
