Tree down on red, on the uphill before entering the berms. It isn't a big tree, but it does completely block the trail and will require a saw.

On my second lap I rode around it. Extends the climb a bit, but not sure if it should be a permanent ride around.

other than a few soft spot in the normal places, the conditions were excellent. Thanks to Ron for adding those ladders on the upper green.

Put this in tonight:

I think I earned a beer and pizza.
The 2nd one and the trail leading to them will go in on Sunday.

Trail is wet and slick, but not soft. Should be really good by tomorrow afternoon.

What time are you working Sunday? I hear from my mother (via Facebook) that there's going to be a trail day working in the playground, yet I can't find anything on the MMMBA site, here, or on Facebook. It's been a while since I've been out and I'd love to help.

I need to get out there and see this stuff. It looks like some great improvements. I am so glad that this trail is getting some well planned and executed features. I'll be out there tomorrow sometime. :D

On another point, I thought it would be good to add some boards to the BIG log skinny on green to get a better start. Thoughts?

I think the original plan was to keep green all natural, meaning no bridge/ramp work. Not sure if that is still the case.

Also, there are two big log rides on green. One has a normal log pile entry, and the other with logs placed the same direction as the ride. Not sure which one you're referring to.

I meant the one with the big fork at the start. It has never really had a stable entrance with the constantly shifting pile of sticks and all.

I would love it if the one with the log pile entrance (not the fork) was flattened off on the top a little so guys like me can ride it. It looks a little scary with no flat on top and it fell in too good of a position to not set it up for the masses.

The new features look great and it's killing me that my bike is out of commission until next week.

Rode today for first time. Corners are muddy other than that in good shape for a first timer. Got a little confused on the trail at first but figured it. The Playground was sweet!!! Keep up the good work.

Rode there today for the first time in a long time. Still confused on the red, and now the blue. You come to a fork in the trail. Left says red. Right says red. Same with the blue. I think I figured out that the right trail takes you back towards the road, at least on red. I went left on blue. For those that know the trail, seems easy. For those that don't, especially first timers out there, very very confusing. Also, a little confused on what exactly is considered the playground. Is it most of the last part of red? Trail was in pretty good condition overall. Hikers cutting through on green, with a dog off leash. Scared the *beep* out of me, since it came bounding my way ahead of the hikers. I am a dog owner, and won't get into the rights and wrongs of dogs off leash on the trails, however, I will say that I cannot stand it on bike trails. Coming to a screeching stop on a flowing part of the trail because some asshat decided that he would let his dog off leash really chaps my ass.

Top arrow "continues" the full trail, bottom arrow takes the "alternate"route. The main kiosk map describes that. Could it be signed better, yes. But the tc decided that expanding the playground was more important than resigning the trail. I'm sure he will gladly accept any offers to redo the signage.

The playground is the portion of red closest to the road with the drops, bridges, and berms. New trail is cut in that allows you to session the features without having to ride the entrie trail.

No, because Logan runs with us. This was just a random dog off leash.
