Sette bikes?

Postby kaysee » May 1st, 2012, 12:55 pm

Anyone hear of them? They seem to be way too cheap for the components that are on them. I saw that they sell a carbon frame with Fox Shox for around $1400.

What is the catch??

pricepoint.com's house brand, probably made in the same factory as everyone elses bikes.

I have been eyeing that carbon 29er. This guy did a decent write up on it on mtbr. There is no catch, just cutting out a lot of overhead without a bike shop or advertising.

I am not so sure that they are necessarily the house brand. I know that they sell them there.

I'm not sure, I thought pricepoint was the only place you could get them for somet reason. I know I get a pile of sette stickers everytime I order something from pricepoint.

Never seen one in person, but for the prices some of them look hard to pass up

My buddy has one of their road bikes. It's a rocket and he loves it.

If you try to buy from there, it redirects you to Pricepoint.

They appear to be one of the best values in biking right now. I'd buy one if I was in the market....

It looks like PricePoint is an authorized retailer for them. Decently equipped full suspension for under $1300? That is pretty good.

I just put the last new component on my Reken frame I got last summer and I love it. I've been taking components from an old bike and replacing them as needed for this build, so I can't speak to the complete bikes they sell but I'm really happy with the frame.

If your looking for a decent priced bike I'd suggest taking a look at Fezzari. My boss just picked up a full squish version and loves it. I believe he got the Abajo Peak.

Is there a downside to buying one of these value frames? I mean it looks like the components don't lie (Fox and Rock Shox, ect.)...why don't more people use these then?
