These roads are on a regular schedule of routes taken for many of us in northern Oakland county

Yep.

And YMMV = your mileage may vary. :)

Was out there on the single speed today. Trail is in excellent shape! Love the new reroute. Once it gets rode in its going to be sweet. Way more sustainable.

Ya, but it was dumbed down when we built it. Who cares that it will last many years with very little
maintenance. Just build fall line trail so the people we never see at trail day can ride them till they
are completely eroded and a eye sore. Then we can build them more trail and repeat the cycle.

The new climb is easy, but the old climb was a fall-line disaster. It wasn't even a technical challenge... Just get on the gas at the bottom. Overall an improvement.

I wasn't at that trail day, but I did help with last week's reroute of the washed out hill at Stony.

Does anybody know if there is access to Addison oaks from Drahner road? Not looking for a parking location, just an opening in the fence to access the trail with your bike.

Though there are gates all around the circumference of the park, the only real entrance is the main entrance, currently.

I take it that the gates are locked and that you can't access off of Dahner road.

Correct. I personally have never seen them unlocked. (I'm sure they are at times, I just never have...)

There is a gate off of Lake George road that you would be able to walk around/under, correct?

Not currently, though they are looking to add a "hole in the fence" and a connector to Bald Mtn. in that vicinity by ~August, allegedly.

There was a spot where you could ride over the fence and next to a big tree but that was a year or two ago.

How well does Addison typically drain? Was planning on a night ride this evening, if the rain finally quits and things dry out a bit.

Probably not going to be good, really. LOTS of rain fell up that way. I'd give it at least a day.
