Special Yankee Thanks to Dennis Murphy / Terry Sensiba

Postby DHackRSX » April 22nd, 2012, 8:28 pm

I just wanted to give a big thanks to Dennis Murphy, Terry Sensiba and all the others who worked so hard to make the Yankee Springs TT go off so incredibly well.

I know there's a lot of others but I just don't know their names... thanks to all.

If you know others who should be mentioned please take this opportunity to do it because they deserve it.

The trail was INSANE!!!! I don't think I've ever ridden it when it was so prept up and flowing. While I think that some of the re-routes and mods done to the trail took a little character out of the trail I really can't complain because I don't think I missed a thing!

Great Job!!!

There were a whole lot of Middleville's finest ...aka The TNR guys....working hard to make it a successful event. Many thanks to all! Still the biggest, fastest and deepest single track TT in the mitten state!

Dennis and crew do a great job. From a timing perspective, this includes accurate registration data, on time starts in a well organized manner, and an open and fast finish.

A few of the "usual suspects" that always donate a bunch of their time to the WMMBA that I saw-

Martin Hall
Tim Curtis
Kevin Allen
Cathy Plite
Marleah
Trisha

Thanks for putting on a great event. You guys make a very difficult job look easy!

+1. My first CPS race, and it was a great experience.

I have to say thank you to the gentleman working the race between 7 and 8 mile markers who insisted multiple times that I take the seatpost off his bike to finish the race. Though I declined in favor of finishing the race in DJ mode, it's awesome that a perfect stranger was willing to do that. Good lookin' out.

Great people. Terrific event. :D

I have only done a few races and I have never been to Yankee Springs before... but, so far this is my favorite race. I absolute loved the track and the support was fantastic. It was well run / organized and everything went very smoothly. I was amazed that so many racers could get staged, race and back in so smoothly. Just Fantastic work. :) Thank you!

One of the best races I've done! My only complaint was putting us SS guys in with geared riders. I kept catching guys on climbs, and then had to try to crank super slow, or pass in shady areas. Made it a bit tough, but overall was still a very fun race!

I want to add my thanks to Dennis, Terry and all the volunteers that made it such an awesome start to my racing experience. I've been riding since the early 90's, but never raced until yesterday. The organization, flow and trail were awesome. Thanks for making my first race such a memorable experience. I'm looking forward to riding the TT again next year.
