There are numerous projects in need of attention ranging from general cleanup and repair to more work intensive re-routes.

There have been a few concerns raised lately. I Hope to have assessed and have a good game plan in place before the 21st.

Details to follow and suggestions are welcome.

One would be seperating at least some of the two-way travel section and the second possibility was the first eroded climb following Spring Mill Pond on blue. Both will need some scouting for feasibility.

As a random thought, it seems to me that it would probably be easier to have the downhill travelers hang a right (onto some newly built trail) at the current blue-yellow split and route them so they come out of the woods straight onto the right side of the trail there at the bridge and keep the uphill travellers using the current trail. The straight section of the two-way trail is probably fine as it is since, without serious trail diversion, that bridge will need to continue to be used.

Has there ever been any thought of adding another trail called maybe green. Bettwen the rail road tracks and and the second raod crossing on the Blue loop? I used to hunt in that area and there are some good hills and a lot of avaliable space.

We at this point are limited to the existing mileage of trail. There have been discussions about increased mileage.

The park is currently working on a long term management plan. The MMBA/MCMBBA were asked for our input on this. Increased mileage is one area of concern we addressed so stay tuned.

Worked with Loren & Ted at the start of the trail day and began work on the reroute around the two-way 'blind corner' on Blue - @ about the 8.7 mile mark. With help of others after lunch we got the reroute finished up. Go ride it!
