The whole "uphill" log pile thing kinda got me. That and Norbert said they were "interesting." You guys have got me worried.

If it's similar to what was there before the trail day it's no harder than a steep, lumpy climb. It's just a bit of a surprise at first.

Is this like the uphill logs at Fort Custer green loop?

Stoney is adding a Di-Pass.
Attend next Saturday's trail day at Stoney and help build it.

Sorry, I don't know. I've never ridden Fort Custer.

Just a heads up that Novi is experiencing significant wind gusts, and there are a lot of branches down.

Dave and I cut out some new deadfall trees across the trail this evening, but more have been reported. Use care when riding.

Ran across you and Dave a few times on my ride last night. Thanks for all the hard work. As I reported last night, there is a hike-a-bike at .9 mile and another one at 9.5 miles.

BTW. . . The revised log piles are great! The one at the top of the hill is the first fall I have had at lakeshore in years!! Next time I will know it is there and sail over it . . . hopefully!

How are the trails looking? Planning on heading up there tomorrow with one my friends. Thanks to all who helped clear the trail. I will obviously do my part while we're there.

The red route on this map is the race loop overlayed on our normal trail map:

Feel free to ride this course anytime, but be careful at the intersections.

That's one thing Lakeshore has a lot of, intersections. I believe I took the wrong turn somewhere because my computer said 8.? miles when the trail is like 10 something, right?? I took all the technical loops but I cant imagine that shaving 2 miles off my trek. Hmm..?

If it's a GPS, it might be that far off. Lakeshore is tight and twisty in places. Otherwise, yeah, you missed a lot somehow.

I think we have every intersection marked, so if you stop and look the right path should be obvious.

Hmm, think I'll head out there after work and try the new stuff. Be there around 4pm.

This. I used my Garmin yesterday (still can't get the GSC 10 paired correctly...grumble grumble) and it showed 9.0 miles, and my buddies cat eye had 10 miles on the dot.

Anyway, trail was great yesterday. A couple of small muddy spots, nothing you couldn't barrel thru. Looked like a lot of freshly cut trees laying about. I liked the new log piles, they were a cool surprise.

Parking lot filled up fast at 4:30.

When in doubt, turn right.

It always blows my mind how long the Tree Farm is. It never seems like it's going to be a hard ride, but I'm always ready to be done *before* I get to the end.

Sounds like a good plan. I kind of remember the intersection in my head but will remember it tonight when I get to it and let ya know.

Should be there around 530, gotta wait for buddy to get to my place.

If you just follow yellow triangles, stay right and skip the shortcut on lost loop, and do the "most difficult" yellow arrows, then you've got the whole thing. Its an easy to follow loop IMO, way easier to follow than the likes of stony or bloomer.
Don't worry. It's all downhill from here.
