The Lake Loop was in surprisingly phenomenal shape for the time of year, even the boardwalk area was dry. The North loop was 90% dry. There were a couple of big mud spots that were getting some cookie cutters and required slowing down, etc. It should be good to go in a few more days. There were a couple of head hunters that will probably be taken care of on trail day.
On a side note, the few new log piles that seemed to develop since last summer on the West Loop, are those here to stay or will they be removed on a trail day? Just curious. Most of them are easily passable like the one after the bridge that has always been there, but there is one that is a big chain ring killer...
The only one I know of was on the Tech loop and that was left there cause it is the Tech loop and it was quite natural. The main 4 mile west loop shouldn't have any real log jumps or climbs other than the little one after the bridge which is made out of smaller sticks.
