Thanks c0nsumer, so do you think Bloomer would be a better idea for my lunch excursion?

Actually, I'd probably go ride River Bends. All the normal (non-seasonal) single track should be great to ride with the exception of a couple small spots in the newest section. These are fairly easily avoided. Then again, I may be a bit biased. ;)

I was able to find it leading from Riverbends to under 59 en route to CRPT. Is it expected it extend to the MOT/Stony this year?

I don't believe so. From talking with the Parks and Rec folks it sounds like they are hoping for that next phase to happen next year.

It'll be Stony for me. Enjoy! If you would, post up your opinion on the new log pile in the new bypass section along the top of a ridge. (You'll know it, the former route is logged/orange taped off until it can dry out.) I think it' needs a little work, but I'd like opinions.

A picture is worth a thousand words... some muddy spots, some freshly cleared trail that was in need of being packed down nice and hard (I did my job), but only a couple of really bad spots... that I rode tbrough, not around. My bike needed mud. Anyways, this is what 90% of the trail looks like : Image

Glad to see you made it out there. That's one of my favorite sections, and probably one of the first pieces of single track that I ever rode.

Lots of people walking the trail, and a few riders w/o helmets. Steve, can anything be done about the mud pit entering the seasonal loop? It has been like that for a long time. The log pile on the re-route is fine, I like a bigger and longer pile, thats what she said. I did notice some marks on the logs, prob from 26'ers. Billy.

Because of the forthcoming asphalt path which'll go right through this area I strongly suspect that this are will be quite torn up and possibly obscured during construction. Therefore, we're probably going to hold off on any substantial work on the Seasonal Loops until this is done.

If you ride the upper part of the seasonal loop backwards, just give a warning shout before the blind corners!
There are not that many riders during the week, but on the week end ridding in reverse might require extra care.

I run into people all the time going the wrong way, that is an every day thing out there, and most are riding 40 lb bikes and no helmets.

This is the U S of A. Men and women die everyday for our rights. If someone chooses
to not wear a helmet it's their right not too. I get so tired of people talking about other
people not wearing helmets who gives a flying *beep*. It's their head not yours. Stupid is
as stupid does.
