Excited for the Addison stage race. I just had microfracture surgery 3 weeks ago so I won't be doing the Xterra that weekend like I planned.

So registration was supposed to open today sometime. Will we even be able to register to race? I would like to pre-register and avoid the debacle that happened last year. Tailwind is going down hill. Eliminating races, ankle bands, no organization. Just sad.

Psst.....they can hear you. Tailwind got me into mountain bike racing and I think that they do a great job. We are fortunate to have this race series in Michigan.

That's the point. I appreciate all the people who volunteer. They all do a good job with what they are dealt. And I think they do a great job getting the courses ready to race. But the archaic technology, and the lack of organization is getting old. And they are eliminating races. A 10 race season would be nice, even as many as last year. I really liked the variety last year.

Ok so heres the deal, Ive never raced before and would like to start, if i sign up for beginners in this pre reg. is it possible to bump up to sport if i end up being quick enough? I have no formal training on a bike, i just like to ride and would like to start competing.

I don't think there is any issue upgrading to Sport, but Expert would require a license.
