derobles: Welcome to the area, and the forum. As you can see, people are protective of the trails. Mud doesn't mean they shouldn't be ridden, but it is important to make sure that it's not more then some basic surface mud, and it's causing damage to the trail in the form of ruts or deep mud holes.

For the rest, mud <> unridable trails. And using a car wash <> using high pressure on the bike. A lot of people stop at car washes and use the low pressure to get mud off the bike, because they live in apartments, or don't have access to hoses in the winter.

Go to Fraser, Utica Road, north of 14 mile, there is a spray car wash that has a low pressure wax rinse that might not harm your bike. The best thing about this car wash is that you only need to feed in 1 quarter at a time. It is possible to wash your car for $1.00

derobles welcome to the area and the forum. Anything you want to know about MTBing can be had here. As far
as riding CRPT when it is muddy please try not to at any time of year. Some people ride muddy trails because
they don't know better or they know and don't care. Now that you know please don't be one of the latter.
Hundreds of hours go into maintaining that trail alone and that is just one of many in this area that are maintained
by CRAMBA volunteers. Anyways welcome and I look forward to meeting on the trail.

If you get out early, before it warms up, the mud'll be frozen and wont damage any trails or get on your bike. I'll be there Sunday morning

I'd figure that Saturday or Sunday this week will be good at all the local trails. Winter finally seems to be here.

Tree down near the northern end of the southern-most contiguous section of the trail right after the "driveway" to the DPW (I think). Pretty chainsaw-worthy. There are also a fair amount of scary-looking "leaners" toward the northern end.

Also a *beep* of ruts out there. Barely noticeable on the fat bike.

I was jealous of you. defiantly wishing i was on a fatbike today at Riverbends and CRPT. Bloomer not so much

Trail is in good shape, ground is frozen, couple ice patches under the snow, but overall fun riding. To bad its going to rain and warm up tomorrow.

Paved path should be fine. Watch out for ice if it's below freezing, that thing gets icy.

Holy Bull Dozers Bat Man!
The tree near the dpw is gone, but it looks like they got a vehicle stuck. Like the in the Allstate add , it's just mayhem.
There is a other huge tree over the trail just after the start at the east end.
The trail is in good shape, except for 1 frozen bike track and many frozen runner tracks. The areas with water only had skim ice. (just after the bridge)

Great riding conditions out there tonight, save the last to posts are still unresolved. Unfortunately it does not appear these conditions will last after seeing the forecast for tomorrow.

Rode the paved trail over the weekend, and stopped by to see where someone said the Vehicle was stuck by the power station... it's not single track anymore... about 6 feet wide, tractor ruts... bummer. Trails still too wet to ride.. stay on the pavement.
