Toilets are clean though. :D

We got the big tree toward the end of the trails.

We got a big autumn olive shrub that was blocking the trail right behind the two cabins on blue which should be around 5.5 mile mark.

I did not see anything on yellow 3/4 mile mark. We walked in at Riverbend Parking lot and walked to the 1 mile marker on yellow.

Hope that helps. Let me know if I missed anything.

Ladies and Gentleman,

I apologize as this is not a trail condition update.

I accepted a promotion up at Sleepy Hollow State Park. I just wanted to thank everyone that has helped me out over the years at Island Lake and thanks for you continued support of Michigan State Parks.

I hope there will be some exciting things happening with the trails at Sleepy Hollow in the future, and you can bet I will call on everyones expertise for assistance.

Thanks Again and Merry Christmas.

Good luck, and bring your hip waders! There are plenty of places to improve the trail system, but she's a wet flooded mess in the spring!
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

so out of the local metro trails, island lake seems to dry out the fastest, anyone have an idea of what the trail conditions would be like today? I'm itching to ride, but don't want to damage any trails either. what does mmba say? ride or don't ride?

The forecast is for a nice freeze overnight with a high tomorrow around 32 degrees, so it may be rideable tomorrow
