The guys said they cleared some trees. Not sure what.

Can someone give me a update on the trail?

Thanks,

Dave

Trail is clear of all major debris. There's some standing water/mud in the usual spots but appears to be drying fast. All loose sand is hardpacked so the trail is riding quite fast.

Trail was riding quite fast today, it was a perfect fall day to be out on the trail. I was even surprised there was no water by the bridge between the old trailhead lot and the yellow turn off from blue. The typical sand pits were virtually non-existent like mentioned above. Doubt we will have too many more days like this one left.

Low hanging tree across trail on Blue roughly 1 mi past Spring mill pond on the big downhill. Quite dangerous if you are daydreaming.

No kidding! I swear either I am getting taller or that thing has dropped a couple of inches since Sunday. Outside of that, the parking lot had quite a few cars tonight, felt like a cool summer Saturday evening and the riding was absolutely perfect...

trail is in great shape. Very fast. All downed trees are gone, and only a couple of soft patches. Only tricky part is knowing where the trail is with the leaf covering in a few spots.
Get out and ride before winter sets in..

Rode both loops this afternoon. Trail is in awesome shape. Really fast. Tons-o-squirrels harvesting nuts darting back and forth across the trail. Great day for a ride.

Thanks for another great season.

I, as well as the other Rangers will be on lay-off for a few months, so if any trees come down you guys will have to try to take care of them on your own most likely.

I will probably still check this periodically, so if there are any majors issues go ahead and post them and I will do what I can.

Anything else you guys need, you can contact the Park Headquarters Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. 810-229-7067

Have a great winter.
Thanks again,

3 or 4 Trees down today. One down just after the loose climb after spring mill pond (Blue). Another just past the road crossing that leads to the Huron access for canoes (Yellow)
Another along the river on the tail end of the yellow just after the really fast part.
And I think I recall one in the last 200 yards or so (Yellow).
