River Bends Trail Day: 09-Oct-2011 @ 12pm (Noon)

Want to get involved in building the next segment of trail at River Bends? We have received approval to build trail in a new segment of the park and we need your help to keep things moving! I hope to get 1.5 miles of trail in this segment and with enough volunteer help we'll be able to get it done!

Please join us at noon / 12pm on Sunday, October 9th, 2011 at the trail head at River Bends to keep development happening.

Things to bring / wear:
- Work Gloves.
- Boots, long pants, long sleeved shirt, hat.
- Bug spray.
- Water / hydration pack / etc.

We will have the CRAMBA (Metro North) chapter trailer on site so tools will be available, but if you have personal favorites feel free to bring them. Since we will be clearing new trail tools needed for work this day are as follows:
- Rakes (Garden, possibly leaf)
- Loppers
- Pulaskis

Trail day begins in just two hours! Looking for something to do on this beautiful autumn Sunday afternoon? Come on out and help build more single track! The sooner we finish this the sooner we all have more local trails to ride!

Thank you to everyone who came out today. If my counting is correct we had 18 people out there working for almost five hours. We also nearly completed the 1.3 miles of new single track!

There's only a few bits of fine-tuning left to do before it'll be ready to open, but this will probably all be sorted out by next weekend.
