MCMBA: Milford

Posting on behalf of my son: The Kensington Connector has no separate trail page.

To all mountain bikers I will be installing some board walks on the Kensington connector trail for my Eagle Scout project. The board walks have already been built. But they will need to be moved from South Hill road west to where they need to be installed. We will be adding more boards to them when they are installed. Because of very little parking on South Hill Road mountain bikers who want to help could park at Bakers off Milford road and ride the trail east to the spot where I’m working. The trail starts at the corner of East Huron River Pkwy and South Milford road. I will be working on Labor Day (the 5th) at 9:30 and finishing by noon.

There is a tree down on the trail at about the 2 mile mark. It's decent sized and there are multiple trunks. I would think a chainsaw would make quick work of it. You can climb over it. You'll want to climb quickly though as the mosquitoes are out on force. Otherwise, the trail was in good condition. Slick in a few corners with puddles in the usual spots.

I cut the tree out yesterday and trimmed back some of the trail..
Mosquitoes are fat and happy..... I'm about a pint low on blood now....

Love this trail just when I think I have it figured out and can go even faster, I find a new place to crash. Trail is in good shape overall, just a little over grown in the open areas where the weeds reach out and slap you nothing to bad.

How well does this trail drain? Never been there and I am thinking about going out this evening unless its going to be a puddle fest....

When I have been out after a rain it seems to dry fairly quick. There are a few areas that hold water but they seem to be small.

You should be fine it dries really fast. There will be maybe 4 mud spots and thase are not big.
