Folks-
I did a recon of the XC course on Sunday since I had planned to race at the MI games. So the take away is good news and bad news. Bad news is there is still a mess on the trails, although very little blockage (I can't say the same for the freeride terrain). Everything is ride-able, although it is easy to lose the trail in the area between Million Dollar View and Plite's Peak. The skidder tracks pretty much decimate any sign of the single track course in this section and there are limbs down on the trail and some trees that either have yet to be removed or won't be and need to be moved away from the trail.
Good news is that it is rideable, and with some decent course marking there won't be confusion as to where the trail is. The sections away from logged terrain are buffed out and looking fast. With at least squally precip rolling through the area, the surface should stay pretty tacky and with the right tires dry-conditions tires it will be fine for fast/race-pace riding.
The other bad news is (for me anyway), I won't be coming to race at Cannonsburg, I get to move into a house I've been trying to close on for three months. Priorities....
Have fun out there!
