Addison Oaks Spring Cleanup - CANCELED

Looking at Sunday, May 1 for a trail day. Come work off all that Easter candy!

We will be assessing the status of the trail and do some trimming and leaf/deadfall removal to allow the trail to warm-up and drain. Tools needed will be leaf/garden rakes, blowers (if available), loppers, and a shovel or two. I will try to get the trailer there so there will be tools available.

Mark your calendars!

Ummm, 9AM. Yeah, that'll work.

Park behind the Maintenance building (map). No sticker or admission will be necessary.

EDIT: Too much water, and more on the way. Please feel free to trim/clear on your own (once the water dries up, of course) and please report your hours to me. I will reschedule something later in the season. Thanks.

Just a reminder that this Sunday is the trail day. Given all this rain, boots may be in order.

General clean-up is the main work to be done right? If so I may have the whole clan out there. my little ones can't bench cut to save thier lives (yet) but tell 'em to throw sticks off the trail and it's a day to be remembered.

They will be invaluable in that capacity.

Just make sure they have boots, 'cause there gonna be a lot of water out there.

Funny that you ask.... I think precisely because of those reasons this should be canceled. Way too much water out there right now, and there's more to come. Better to schedule a trail day when there's some trimming to do in June or so.
