Rouge trail day and ride Oct 3rd, Sunday

Hello,

We'll be doing some tweaking of Rouge on 10/3. We are thinking a ten am start time, but more details soon, and we'll have the grill! We'll ride after the tail day.

We may be working with American Eagle, one of the SCA's national sponsors who has expressed some interest in supporting local volunteer events in a handful of our cities in October as part of a 'Reclaim the Outdoors' campaign.

Let's keep the Rouge moving forward!

Ill come out to help for sure what tools should i bring?Also any chance of allowing a free ride area there or a loop full of table top jumps and rollers?South eastern michigan trails are why to tame and could use more challenging obstacles.I would see the project from start to finish.Im sure alot of free riders here would also help,let me know.

We hope to have the MMBA Metro South Trailer full of a cache of tools...

The trail is a beginner, family trail, but I will let the TC's reply about any spin off areas where an opportunity of freeride can be done, depending on what the park has a say in. Chris has been known to "cut the rug" on some pretty knarly logpiles and features. He built a super duper logpile feature at Lakeshore, actually. I think you'll like the new section- it has some interesting lines!

OK, I still need a volunteer to haul the trailer!

Trailbandit - bring any tools you like, shovels, MacLeods and Pulaskis are always useful.

We're also looking for some more planks and other scrap materials to shore up a few retaining walls.

If someone has towing capability (2" ball, lights connector), we are in need of someone to pick up the MMBA MetroSouth Chapter Trailer and we'll cover gas.

Yes, I think there will room for some advanced and freeride areas. Once the first loop is totally finished, we'll be able to evaluate some of the other blocks in the park for more trails. I think a pumptrack is definitely in order for one of the open spaces!

So where does the trailer need to be picked up from and what time would it be going back.I might be able to haul it but need to know details

It is housed at Maybury. We'd need it at the trail at 9:30. Pick up is at 2. I have the combination and instructions on getting it (it is double locked).

The work done today resulted in several improvements that made this trail a DESTINATION!

We had 12 MMBA volunteers out there, plus as many or more SCA folks.
