Post trail conditions and problem reports for the trails at Brighton SRA

I rode Torn Shirt EARLY Sunday morning While the temps were below freezing.

The only problem areas will be the flat areas where drainage is inadequate. There are really no other problem areas to report (on TS anyway)

I rode the TS and Murray right after you while it was still firm about 34deg or so. In addition to John's report, Murray Lake loop was is great condition (while still frozen). Looks like BRA avoided alot of the damage from pre-thaw riders that ILRA saw.

Took a 5 mi. hike yesterday 3-28 on Penosha trail ( adjacent to torn shirt last little bit) All was dry on ponoasha and the couple areas where you could see the other trail it looked the same. I would have done some torn shirt ,Murray Investigating but the girl I was w/ dose'nt have a bike ...YET
there were people out riding I am suprised to see no reports If the rain is'nt that bad this week I'll be out durring the week for sure to see.

Brighton was perfect. Did both TS and Murray Lk. Both were bone dry.

As of 4/4, Brighton is in great shape. I saw two little puddles between Torn Shirt and Murray Lake, including the Hidden Loop. One speck of mud on me. The pizza cuts were minimal, but there were a few trees down.

Sam and I went out this morning and the trails were nice and dry. I think the riding at Brighton is actually better at this time of year while the sand still has some moisture to it.

Monday was awesome! Both TS and ML are in great shape, no wet spots some heavy leafs but fun. A few trees are down but you can get over with no problems. Enjoy! Brighton is def. "open"

I rode torn shirt/murray this morning.

The bridge on Murray just before the campground outhouse's needs a board, there is an open hole where one used to be.

Just got in from 2 laps of Murray Lk. it was excellent ! the little bit of drizzle made it a little faster through the sandy spots.
I do have a question , The larger Oak that is down across the trail ( about the 5 mi mark I think) , Is that gonna stay ? or will it be removed on Trail day ? I dont have a problem either way but if its gonna stay I think the log or logs someone is piling there should be done correctly they are pretty loose and a little questionable. I.M.O. I'll bring it up at the No drop ride out there on thurs.

Had a great ride out at Brighton tonight - it's definitely dry out there, dusty in fact! By the way, the "Hidden Loop" off the north end of the Murray Lake loop needs to be ridden! The trail is barely visible in a few spots.

There's a very large tree down just before the end of the "Hidden Loop" - it's gotta be 2-3' in diameter, and it's suspended about 2' off the ground. The only way around it right now is under it! Perhaps it could be lowered to the ground and then made into a log pile?

big storms rolled through last night, but it seemed to only help the trails. today Murray Lake was absolutely great.

Rode Torn Shirt and Murray Lake this afternoon before the rain. There is a large tree down on Murray Lake. The tree is towards the end of the loop, maybe a half mile from the road.
