NMMBA: Hanson Hills

For posting trail-specific conditions and problems

The re-route is getting ridden in nicely and despite a couple sections forming some deep braking bumps the trail is on good shape. Get out there and ride it!

Rode Hanson Hills today and conditions were near perfect. No wet spots to speak of.

I will be riding this trail on Sunday, 7/27....Can anyone give me an update on trail conditions or the status of the new sections that are discussed a couple posts back?

I am really looking forward to riding here, I just hope the weather holds out through Sunday....Supposed to be great all week starting Tuesday and into the weekend.

Thanks.

Rode this past week and I have to say , it is one of the best built sustainable trails I have had the oportunity to ride (Milford being the other) . The Northern Chapter did this working in SANDY/LOOMY soil . 8)
Side slope construction , gentle turning curves , and classic singletrack trail tred where possible . Just outstanding trail work all around .
Thanks Northern Chapter for some great work and some fun riding .
Hope I can make it to the Bike Fest !

Did a couple laps at Hanson today!! Trail conditions are GREAT. I even jumped onto the new loop that's going in, and got an extra 6 miles out of that :D The new single track will be SWEET once it's all connected 8)

I was told last night the new loop will be 100% by next weekend, now the loop sits at 80%

New extension

Postby prichards » August 25th, 2008, 1:56 pm

I rode the start of the new loop Saturday. Very nice. Once I got to the two track I was not sure where to go from there. Can anybody give me some direction?

Rode it Tuesday. First time up there. Some snow in a couple spots and a bit of leaf coverage still, but it was really dry otherwise. ISome sticks and branches still on the trail but only one hike a bike log and the guy at the office said he had been clearing stuff earlier in the day, so it may be even better now. t's a really fun, flowing trail. Not super technical but you can get flying in some spots. It's also really well marked.

Rose it Saturday. This was my first ride on the Outer Loop. That was fun. Some nice climbing in there. other than lots of leaves on the trail it's good to go.
