I did a dirt road- paced road and path ride yesterday (3/20) the dirt roads were dry but soft...felt like i had 2 flat tires at some points. I went through Maybury as well and checked on the signage at the trail heads. Looks like someone couldn't read too well at the main trail head (only 1 se tof tracks so it wasn't too bad). THe other end the DNR shoudl really get their act togehter. As the path crosses the paved path there were NO snowfence ro blockages at these trails. The signage that says the trail is closed was on the wrong side of the post..and missing from the opposite side all together.
Another problem...which I hope I handled ok is a re-occuring bandit trail that leads up a small incline from the paved path (heading towards the lake), that was there last year as well. i blocked it as best as i could using the deadfall. not too much longer and we won't have to worry about this stuff for another season.
