Too bad. I was looking forward to riding.
I may still show up. I need to swap out the rear tire, which is best done on my bike stand because of the brake adapter that just barely fits this old frame. My studded tires stick to deep snow pretty bad. Remember what Robert used to do in these situation for PB Races? Pull a load of rocks/heavy object on a flat "sled" with his ATV.
I'm not familar with the whole trail system, but there might be an alternative route to use. The first 1/4 mile section was also a bit nasty three weeks ago, but the rest of the trail was rideable. There's a festival going on in Milford, you have to take a detour to get there from my direction coming up north from Canton. Don't want to scare anyone off,
perhaps the organizers have a "Plan B" if conditions aren't suitable. I would be game for a short course if possible.
