Staying logged in - Firefox 23.0 Mac

Postby giantone » August 8th, 2013, 1:05 pm

I have tried resetting cookies (at the bottom of the forum). Turning off add ons. Nothing has seemed to work.

The add ons that I use are:

DownThemAll! 2.0.16
DuckDuckGo Plus 0.2.16
Firebug 1.11.4
Flashblock 1.5.17
Greasemonkey 1.11
HTTPS-Everywhere 1.1.5
Keychain Services Integration 1.1.5
Pinch-to-zoom and Double-tap Gesture Support 0.9.0
Pocket 3.0.4
Reddit Enhancement Suite 4.2.0.2

Does it happen with other browsers?

Maybe try disabling some of these until the problem goes away? Manually inspect your cookies? This is almost guaranteed to be a browser-specific problem, since the site doesn't set different cookies based on browsers.

Only Firefox. I have tried disabling the extensions individually to no avail.

Manually clearing out the cookies did the trick as per https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/en ... ng+cookies

Thank you c0nsumer!

Sure thing. That doesn't surprise me. This isn't the first time I've heard of cookies ending up weird on boxes. Usually you can just delete them for *mmba.org and be good.

I'm getting killed with logouts with Safari 7.0.1 on a Mac. Hit SUMBIT on a PM, or post and get kicked back to the login screen.

Trash all your cookies for *.mmba.org.

I'm having a similar issue using Google Chrome. I have to log in manually almost every time I visit the site, even when I check the 'keep me logged in' box.

Close all copies of Chrome, delete all cookies for *.mmba.org.

It's weird... Something happens some times, and I don't know why. I really do think it's browser specific, though.

Have you cleared the cookies for *.mmba.org?

(Note: As far as I can tell, this is a browser issue, not a site issue.)

This happens to me often, Chrome on PC, Ipad and Safari on iPad.

I save my PWD in the browser to avoid be annoyed by it.

Are you using something to keep cookies/bookmarks/etc in sync between those?

Bookmarks yes (Google SSO for Chrome, good old iCloud for Safari) but not sure if it keeps cookies in sync. For me its like once a week or two that I 'log out'.

Not a biggie for me, just something I have noticed.
