Since I was able to get a ride in last night and the lack of activity today I will not be riding tonight.

Unsurprisingly, I'm thinking tonight's washed out anyway. :(

Nice Di!

So I see high fortys forcasted for this Wednesday. I'm in. Now the question is cyclocross bike due to road riding or MTB due to muddy road riding. Suggestions?

I'm thinking that meeting at the bank at Schoenherr and 16 Mile then riding out to the point at Metro Beach and back could be nice. Pavement all the way, no need to worry about slop, and a nice change from the typical MOT fallback.

Interesting. I have always wanted to do this route. That would mean the cross for sure. I'm in.

Not the greatest shape so hopefully I can keep a good pace.

It's just straight east then back west via wide asphalt. Makes for a nice, easy ride.

call me crazy, but a half mile south of the path at Utica rd is a brewery
http://www.greatbaraboo.com/
not exactely a destination beer, but decent food.
we have successfully rode and finished there several times
plenty of parking at the rear of the lot
almost 20 miles to the point and back IIRC

of course this may also help me to drag a few 'friends' along

22.6 miles +/- .2 miles. :)

A reasonable alternative starting location.

The one caveat: it's supposed to be windy on Wednesday. :P

So, meeting in the parking lot of The Great Baraboo then? Usual meet at 6:30pm leave at 6:45pm sharp?

Head out to the gazebo at Metro Beach then back?

You had better check to see if he got his information from the weatherman or the Wednesday Lunch menu.
