I'm interested in a ride Saturday or Sunday morning, 7/21 or 7/22. Some other time may work out as well.

Open pretty much all day tomorrow for a loop somewhere. Was originally thinking about poto, but I'm not ready for that yet.

Gonna hit Pontiac lake one day this weekend too if anyone is interested.

Gonna be in TC thus weekend, so I'm gonna try Glacial Hills either tomorrow, 8/23 or sat, 8/24 if anyone wants to tag along. I'll probably shoot for a 1000 start. If I can sweet talk my old lady, I might head to Arcadia as well the other day.

It was a pretty fun outing. There are no rocks or roots to speak of, and there's no tech anywhere. It flows pretty well counterclockwise with most of the climbing in the early portion. The climbs are very gradual and aren't grueling like highland. Much more enjoyable then vasa, but I'm glad we have more demanding trails within minutes of my house (Pontiac,Highland, Milford, and Proud Lake). The bench cuts are very wide too, probably a result of using machines to cut in the trail. I'll be sure to visit again when we're up here next.

Off to Arcadia dunes tomorrow. Probably will land out there around 1300 if anyone is interested.

Fat and Slow

I would recommend Arcadia over glacial hills. Arcadia was more challenging, and the trail is laid out well in a very pretty bit of forest. It was a great ride, and was pretty exhausting. I like to feel blown out at the end to feel like I accomplished something.
