I also put this topic on the road bike forum. Oops, sorry, I'm new to this board guys....

The 2004 Grosse Ile Island Duathlon on Saturday, May 22nd has a new course that is pretty darn cool.

this is a great "first time" event for your first multisport race. Everyone invited. I hope we see a lot of new faces there!

Have you ever seen a multi sport race that does not involve running (maybe biking and swimming.) I think it would be fun to try one, but my knees can't handle the pounding of running anymore.

There have been some swim/bike duathlons on the west coast. I haven;t seen any around here though. I hear you on the knee issues. I've had 4 arthoscopes and a big ACL surgery. My knees are good, but it has taken a lot of work.
