Come one, come all!

If you're not into the epic technical challenge of the Potto Raid, come out and ski the Crooked Lake Loppet!

Yes, an instant event is born, and why not?

While the raiders are attempting the Big Loop for hours, why not enjoy the 5-mile inner loop of the Crooked Lake Trail! It's well-known and highly regarded as a optimal, rolling, and moderately challenging trail. It's the loop that the normal, sane people tend to opt for.

Then hang out by the bonfire!

The Crooked Lake Trail meets up with the Potto a mile before the end so you could go out and intercept the raiders and cheer them on as they head into the final stretch.

Bring snacks and beverages! Folding chairs, too.

See you tomorrow! --JP

Just got back inside, from a night ski on the Brighton equestrian trails (behind my house). These trails are generally in rougher shape than the Poto but there is enough snow to pretty much cover the roots & rocks. There was light snow coming down, hopefuly another inch? Like Jeff mentioned, the option of the Crooked Lk Loop (5 or 8 mi) could be done in combination with Silver Lk loop & part of the Poto, to give you nearly 18 miles total, without being too far from your start point, if you are like me and you wonder if your legs might go into disabling spasm mode, far from the finish?
