Quick Poto question

Postby jjc155 » May 3rd, 2012, 3:38 pm

Hey guys sorry for the newbish question, but figured I'd ask before I screwed up, lol

I small game hunt in the area of Pickrell lake and often hike parts of the Poto in that area. A couple of months ago a buddy and I hiked/hunted our way from the Pickrell lake parking lot to Silver lake via the Poto and Silver lake trails and back.

This route seemed like it would be great to ride, but it would be an out and back type thing instead of a loop. I know on most loop type trails you ride counter clockwise which obviously could not be done with the route above.

Is there a direction of travel on the Poto or is it two way trail? Orrr can someone recomend a route that would loop from Pickerel lake back to Pickerel?

Thanks for taking the time to read,

The Poto is a clockwise bike direction flow. Below is a link to the trail map and you will see there is an option to comeback that would only add a little distance. The route you took was probably markers 3>2>1, you can return via 7>5>4. Hope this helps.
