2012 was the first year that our chapter used an online self-reporting time form for our volunteer work. Over the year, we had 118 individuals report a total of 2135 hours of volunteer time to our chapter projects! Of these, 1493 hours were boots-on-the-ground FAFL trailbuilding efforts, and the remainder supported our fundraising and social events, land manager meetings, web site development, and other chapter business:
Self reporting is working well, but there's anecdotal evidence that there is still a lot of work on trails that is not being reported! Remember that you don't need to be an MCMBA member to contribute, and that reporting the time and maintenance work that we do is a great way to let land managers know that we're more than just users - we care and contribute to our trails!
